Amazon India has been embroiled in yet another controversy, this time over the sale of an obscene image of Radha-Krishna on the occasion of Janamashtmi by a Bengaluru-based seller on the ecommerce platform.

The Hindu Janajagruthi Samithi filed a complaint against the seller and the ecommerce giant in Bengaluru. According to the complaint, the image sold on the ecommerce platform under the title ‘INKOLOGIE Hindu Gods Fine Arts painting’ offended the religious sentiments of hundreds of millions of Hindus in the country. Exotic India Art, a separate ecommerce website, was also selling the poster.
