The AI-focused university in Abu Dhabi attracts a global talent pool

In the fall semester of 2022, a new class of 127 students from over 25 countries will enrol at the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) in Abu Dhabi.

For its current offerings across three departments, including master’s and doctoral degree programmes in computer vision, machine learning, and natural language processing, 3,668 applications were received, resulting in a 3.73 percent admission rate. MBZUAI is ranked 30 in the world in its areas of focus — AI, computer vision, ML, and NLP — placing it ahead of renowned research universities such as Georgia Tech, the University of Toronto, Imperial College London, EPFL, and the Max Planck Society in Europe, among others.
