Agritech startup Akshayakalpa raised $15 million in Series B from new investors including British International Investment and Rainmatter Foundation where existing investor–Venture Dairy also participated.
Akshayakalpa sells organic milk, milk products, and other food items like cheese, buttermilk, honey, and bread to customers directly. Akshayakalpa will use the new funds to aggressively invest in existing markets such as Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad, as well as expand into new geographies such as Pune, Mumbai, and Kochi. Furthermore, funds will be used to take its organic dairy products to PAN India. According to the company, these products do not contain antibiotics, synthetic additives, hormones, or chemical pesticide residue.
