Speech technology startup Murf AI raised $10 million in funds led by Matrix Partners India where existing investor Elevation Capital, as well as prominent angel investors such as senior vice president, product at Disney Streaming, Ajay Arora; Ola cofounder, Ankit Bhati; Mad Street Den cofounder, Ashwini Asokan, among others also participated.

Murf offers an artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled software tool that enables users to create human-like voiceovers for videos and presentations without the need for complex recording equipment or the hiring of a voice artist. The funds will be used to drive further product innovation, accelerate research and development, and scale its presence in specific geographies. Creators such as educators, authors, podcasters, animators, product developers, and YouTubers are currently using the startup’s solutions. Murf’s curated voice library includes over 120 AI voices in more than 20 languages.
