Apple addresses camera shake issues as well as a bug with paste permissions

Apple has released ahead of schedule the first major update to its new iOS 16 mobile operating system. Apple confirmed earlier this week that an update would be released next week to address a number of bugs that had been plaguing users, including an annoying copy and paste permissions-related bug and another that caused the camera to shake when recording video in a number of third-party apps, including TikTok, Snapchat, and Instagram.

At the time, the company told us and other reporters that a fix for these and other bugs would be available sometime next week, but no specific date had been provided. Users of iOS 16 were therefore taken aback when the iOS 16.0.2 update arrived late on Thursday afternoon. This release addresses an issue with the iPhone camera, which “may vibrate and cause blurry photos when shooting with some third-party apps on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max,” according to the update text.
