Twitter’s throwback feature, Twitter Status, is expanding its list of potential status updates to choose from today, as part of a test that began in July.
The feature, which is similar to Myspace moods and Facebook statuses, allows users to tag posts with additional expressions other than the tweet itself, such as “shower thoughts,” “spoiler alert,” or “picture of the day.” Now, the company is expanding its list of common Twitter slang, allowing users to tag their tweets with phrases like “Don’t @ me,” “Tweeting it into existence,” or “That’s it, that’s the Tweet,” among others.
