Electric flying taxi revealed: Soar over city traffic at AED11 per mile

Share via:

A low-cost electric flying taxi has been unveiled, allowing passengers to avoid traffic.

The bright yellow exterior with 12 rotors will fly at an altitude of 2500 – 4000 feet above ground level, seating four passengers. With a cruising speed of 120 knots, this could be the most environmentally friendly way for individuals to avoid traffic. The vehicle has vertical take-off and landing capabilities (VTOL). In the UAE, sustainability and electric vehicles are top priorities. A flying electric taxi would provide a new mode of transportation and open up more routes for sustainable transportation and ease of travel. Because the electric flying taxi does not use oil or fuel, there is less chance of component failure, and increased safety and security precautions have been implemented, according to Wisk.
