Careem to offer rides between Saudi and Qatar for FIFA World Cup

Ride hailing app Careem will provide rides from Saudi Arabia to Qatar for the FIFA World Cup, which begins on November 20.

The rides will begin in Saudi Arabia at Dammam and Al-Ahsa. According to a Zawya report, Careem has increased its fleet in Qatar and neighbouring cities by 50% with the addition of 1,000 cars. According to the report, the travel time will be four to five hours one way, and rides can be booked a day in advance. According to Antonio Al Asmar, Careem’s General Manager for the Gulf Cooperation Council, all Qataris can sign up on Careem to offer their private cars for rides during the World Cup.
