Those fired by Twitter’s new CEO are looking for work. Despite a general slowdown in hiring, executives at a half-dozen recruitment and executive search firms, including ABC Consultants, CIEL HR Services, Hunt Partners, Randstad, Adecco, and ManpowerGroup, believe the microblogging platform’s former India employees will have little trouble finding new jobs.
“Candidates are contacting us via our career page and various social media channels,” said Alok Kumar, senior director at ManpowerGroup. Twitter employees will also be window shopping because they have three months’ pay in their pockets, according to Kumar. “Redeploying such candidates will be relatively simple because they are part of a well-known microblogging social media platform,” he said. Many laid-off Twitter employees have applied for jobs at these companies. Tech professionals, in particular, are receiving numerous job offers.
