Zomato launched Hindi and regional languages version of the app

Foodtech startup Zomato announced that its mobile app is now available in Hindi as well as a number of regional languages including Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Zomato currently delivers over 150K orders per month via regional language versions of its app. According to Zomato, Hindi and Tamil account for 54% and 11% of these orders, respectively, while the remaining languages are rapidly growing. In the first half of FY23, Zomato’s food delivery business was worth $1.6 billion. Swiggy, despite offering deep discounts, is losing market share to Zomato, according to equity research firm Jefferies.
