Australia-based learning management platform Moodle acquired Hyderabad-based edtech startup eAbyas for an undisclosed amount.
Moodle stated in a statement that it intends to complete the task of integrating teams and processes with the eAbyas platform within the next six months. Moodle has also set in motion plans for the official launch of its Indian operation in 2023 with this move. As part of the transition, eAbyas will launch a new website and rethink its marketing strategy. This agreement will allow Moodle to expand its presence in the Indian edtech market, which is expected to reach $10.4 billion by 2025. Moodle intends to use eAbyas’ PHP development capabilities to provide customised products to its clients as a result of this acquisition.
