Indian-American VA Shiva Ayyadurai, who “invented email” when he was just 14, has expressed interest in taking up the position of Twitter CEO after Elon Musk said that he wishes to step down from the post.

Mumbai-born Ayyadurai, 59, holds four degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), including a PhD in biological engineering, and applied for the position via Twitter. “@Twitter, I’m interested in the CEO position. I have four MIT degrees and have founded seven successful high-tech software companies. Please advise on the application process “Ayyadurai said this in a tweet to Musk. Many users responded to Ayyadurai’s tweet, with responses ranging from encouraging to sarcastic.
