Ashneer Grover files perjury plea against Shashvat Nakrani: BharatPe defamation case

The Delhi High Court (HC) refused to grant BharatPe any immediate relief in the INR 88.7 Cr defamation case filed by the fintech major against its ex-MD and cofounder Ashneer Grover, his wife and former head of controls Madhuri Jain Grover, and other family members on Monday (January 9).

BharatPe has also requested information about Madhuri Jain Grover and Ashneer Grover’s bank accounts and properties in its petition. While the court granted the fintech’s request, it did not issue any notices to Ashneer and Madhuri during the hearing on Monday. Furthermore, the Grovers’ counsel has responded that they are not legally required to submit their bank statements or other details about their holdings unless a court order is issued.
