Foodtech unicorn Rebel Foods laid off nearly 2% of its workforce. The startup attributed the layoffs to annual performance evaluation and a realignment within the company.

Rebel Foods is a cloud kitchen platform that operates several popular brands, including Faasos, Behrouz Biryani, Ovenstory Pizza, Mandarin Oak, and The Good Bowl. “Any news heard is on account of annual performance evaluation and realigning the organisation to our priorities for future goals. “The affected number is less than 2% of our organization’s total strength,” said a Rebel Foods spokesperson. According to Rebel Foods’ LinkedIn profile, the company employs 2,521 people. This equates to approximately 50 employees losing their jobs.
