Bengaluru-based COGOS Technologies acquired logistics startup Porter’s FMCG modern trade business for an undisclosed amount.
According to the company, the acquisition will strengthen COGOS’ platform and allow it to meet the demand for city logistics. Porter’s acquired subsidiary’s workforce, customer base, and vendors will be transferred to COGOS as part of the transaction. According to a COGOS spokesperson, the acquisition will help COGOS diversify its FMCG logistics business to other cities. It already has a presence in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, where it assists quick commerce layers in making on-time deliveries. According to the statement, Porter has divested its FMCG modern trade business to realign with its business priorities and strengthen focus on on-demand services and technology enhancement.
