D2C rollup ecommerce startup GOAT Brand Labs announced the acquisition of Imara, a women-focused ethnic apparel brand. GOAT intends to take Imara to the international market following the acquisition.

Universal Sportsbiz’s Imara clothing line. It sells premium ethnic wear for women over the age of 40. It also oversees brands such as Wrogn, Imara, and Ms Taken. GOAT works with D2C founders to help them scale their businesses. The news comes nearly two weeks after GOAT paid an undisclosed sum for clothing brand Chumbak. Interestingly, Imara was one of four D2C brands in talks with GOAT at the time. Imara claims to be available on ecommerce marketplaces like Myntra as well as more than 70 retail outlets like Shopper Stop.
