Tinder introduces new security features, including an Incognito Mode

Share via:

Tinder roll out new safety features and updates to existing ones. Users will now be able to use an incognito mode, which Tinder describes as a “step up” from completely hiding your profile. Only people you like will see you in their suggestions. This should provide you with more control over your visibility.

You can also block profiles that appear in your suggestions. So, if you see an ex or someone else from your life, such as (shudder) a family member, you may feel less awkward. This is in addition to a feature that allows users to block people based on their phone number. Another new safety feature is long press reporting. If you receive an offensive message, you can quickly report it by tapping and holding. Tinder hopes that this will encourage more people to report inappropriate behaviour so that it can take action against users who violate the rules
