Accra, Ghana — The 7th edition of Ghana Investment & Trade Week (GITW) 2026, co-located with the 4th Edition Africa Build Show (ABS) and the 3rd Edition Megawatt Africa, successfully concluded on 9 July 2026 at The Palms Convention Centre in Accra.
Held under the patronage of Her Excellency Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, Vice President of the Republic of Ghana as Special Guest of Honour, the three-day summit closed following high-level dialogues, structured business matchmaking, and cross-border dealmaking. The event reaffirmed Ghana’s standing as West Africa’s primary gateway for international trade and investment.
Centering on the theme “Powering Ghana’s 24-Hour Economy: Integrating Infrastructure, Electric Mobility, and Sustainable Real Estate for Investment and Trade Competitiveness,” the 2026 gathering brought together government leaders, traditional authorities, industry executives, and global investors to advance Ghana's long-term economic roadmap.
The 2026 edition was supported by strategic partners including the Ghana Chamber of Construction Industry, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (MOFCOM), and Rhenus Logistics.

Opening Ceremony Led by Traditional Leadership
The summit opened under the patronage of Vice President Her Excellency Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang and the chairmanship of King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, Ga Mantse and Conference Chairperson. The leadership of His Royal Majesty underscored the collaboration between traditional leadership, public institutions, and private industry in driving national development. In his opening remarks, the Paramount King of the Ga State called for expanded global partnerships to cement Ghana’s role as West Africa’s hub for investment.

The three-day agenda addressed crucial pillars of West Africa's economic trajectory:
Day 1: Focused on financing Ghana’s 24-hour economy, PPP framework models, energy grid systems, and electric mobility infrastructure, anchored by Presidential Advisor Hon. Augustus Goosie Tannoh.
Day 2: Examined industry innovation and investment, featuring an EV ecosystem panel moderated by Digital Alor founder Franklin Amese, discussions on AfCFTA trade catalysts, and the Startup World Cup pitch competition.
Day 3: Centered on sustainable real estate, technical skills development, and positioning Ghana as a regional hub for infrastructure and capital allocation.
International Trade Partnerships and MOUs
Engagement with MOFCOM
The active participation of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (MOFCOM) reinforced China–Ghana–Africa commercial relations. MOFCOM's involvement created channels for technical exchange, infrastructure funding, and manufacturing joint ventures.
Over $50M in Potential Deal Flow
The pre-scheduled B2B matchmaking program connected local Ghanaian businesses with international developers, suppliers, and investors. Facilitating over 1,000 targeted sessions, the program generated over USD 50 million in potential trade opportunities, partnerships, and investment agreements.
Landmark International Trade Council (ITC) MOUs
A 300-delegate delegation from the International Trade Council (ITC) representing 33 countries participated in the summit. The delegation finalized five Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with local institutions to establish long-term trade frameworks:

E4Impact Foundation Integration: As an ecosystem partner, E4Impact supported African entrepreneurs through business acceleration, investor readiness sessions, and founder matchmaking.
