The Dubai Racing Club (DRC) announced the launch of an NFT (non-fungible token) artwork collection.
The art collection is part of the club’s efforts to merge the digital and physical realms, as well as to position the horse racing industry as a growing market sector. The announcement comes amid a flurry of NFT announcements in the region as Dubai strives to become a Web3 technology hub. According to Dubai Racing Club Chairman Sheikh Rashid bin Dalmook Al Maktoum, horse racing is a “integral part of the DNA of Dubai,” and the club believes it is time to take the sport to a “whole new level from a technological standpoint.”
