Twitter is testing a new way for Android users to share tweets in India by including a WhatsApp button under the posts. People will be able to share tweets with their WhatsApp contacts and groups by tapping on the new button and then selecting the WhatsApp option again — a cumbersome and confusing process.
The WhatsApp share button will replace the regular share button under the tweet, allowing you to bookmark, send via Direct Message, copy link to Tweet, and share to other social media platforms. The WhatsApp icon simply replaces the share icon, with no change in functionality, resulting in an incoherent implementation.
