Zomato is testing health insurance for delivery partners and their families

Share via:

Foodtech Zomato is piloting a new initiative in which health coverage available to delivery executives will be extended to their family members in what appears to be a bribe in lieu of loyalty.

The INR 3 lakh health cover will be available to the kin only if the delivery workers have worked with the Gurugram-based unicorn for at least 2-3 years. The trials are currently being conducted in three cities: New Delhi, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad. In a statement, Zomato said, “As a loyalty benefit for tenured delivery partners, we are piloting a health cover worth INR 3 Lakh extendable to their families in New Delhi, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad.” This was one of several clarifications issued by the foodtech behemoth on Tuesday.
