Another piece of good news for India’s thriving startup ecosystem is the availability of the open-source software development platform GitHub’s developer platform for startups in the country.
Eligible startups in India and around the world will receive up to 20 free GitHub Enterprise seats for a year. According to IANS, the startups will also receive support and guidance from GitHub technical experts. GitHub has over 83 million developers worldwide, with over 7.2 million in India. According to Statista, the Indian software market is expected to generate $6.74 billion in revenue by 2022. Enterprise Software is the market’s largest segment, with a projected market volume of $2.70 billion in 2022. Overall market volume is expected to reach $12.01 billion by 2027, with a compound annual growth rate of 12.24% between 2022 and 2027.
