Indian audience to spend significantly more this year than last year during the festive season: ShareChat

ShareChat published a report titled ‘Bharat ki #FestiveFeeling’. According to the report, the Indian audience is willing to spend significantly more this year than last year during the festive season.

This year, Maharashtra led the festive spending charts, with 55% willing to spend more, followed by Bihar, Delhi, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Uttar Pradesh. The top three shopping categories for Bharat this festive season are apparel, mobile phones and accessories, and jewellery. According to the survey, social media influences approximately 44% of Bharat’s purchase decisions. Furthermore, discounts and special offers influence 49% of Bharat’s purchasing decisions. The report’s findings are based on primary data collected through an online survey of 2,843 ShareChat users aged 18 to 40 in 15 Indian states, with a male-to-female ratio of 70:30.
