In the most recent cryptocurrency case, 31 people from Maharashtra’s Solapur were allegedly duped out of INR 45 lakh. The victims allegedly invested their money in a cryptocurrency cloud mining app that enticed customers with high-return promises.

Customers can rent cloud computing to mine cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin through cloud mining. This allows users to avoid purchasing and maintaining costly crypto mining equipment. The police have now filed charges against three people who persuaded the victims to download the app and invest their money in the cloud mining app. An investigation into the matter is currently underway.
