E-commerce platform Hoods raised undisclosed investment from valU, MENA’s BNPL lifestyle-enabling fintech platform.
Hoods uses live video to help shoppers find and compare brands. The investment by valU aims to leverage Hoods’ platform to penetrate the rapidly growing virtual shopping space and diversify its offering to both new and existing valU customers and merchants. According to valU, the transaction will allow it to expand on its strategy of providing access to the tools and financing needed to build better lives and businesses. In contrast to traditional e-commerce, Hoods uses videos created by individuals using creative content to produce product displays for customers.
