Zomato shares increase over 8% as the company narrows its loss

After Zomato disclosed that its consolidated net loss for Q2 of FY23 was reduced to Rs 250.8 crore, shares of Zomato increased by more than 8% in morning trading on Friday. On the BSE, the stock increased 8.05% to Rs 69.10.

It increased 8.21% to Rs 69.20 on the NSE. The benchmark 30-share BSE Sensex index was up 1,016.73 points at 61,630.43. Online food delivery service Zomato announced on Thursday that its consolidated net loss for the second quarter ended September 30 shrunk to Rs 250.8 crore. The company’s overall net loss for the prior fiscal year was Rs 434.9 crore.
