Elon Musk to leave his position as Twitter’s CEO after finding a replacement

Elon Musk announced on Tuesday that he will leave his position as Twitter’s CEO once a successor has been found. “I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job! After that, I will just run the software & servers teams,” Musk wrote on Twitter.

After receiving a resounding majority of votes from Twitter users in a poll that the billionaire started on Sunday night calling for him to resign, Musk has now publicly mentioned leaving his position as the social media platform’s CEO for the first time. Calls for Musk to resign on Wall Street have been growing for several weeks, and more recently even Tesla Inc. bulls have questioned whether his concentration on the social media platform is keeping him from properly leading the electric vehicle industry, where he plays a key role in product design and engineering.
