While TechCrunch contacted Twitter and the former employee for comments, it was unable to immediately confirm the precise scope of these reductions.
On Friday, Twitter sent emails to some infrastructure engineers terminating their employment. Since Elon Musk became the company’s owner in October, it’s estimated that about 75% of Twitter’s employees have either opted to leave or have been let go. Theodora Skeadas, the employee of public policy who announced her termination on social media, claimed that she was in charge of overseeing the Trust and Safety Council, which was disbanded last week.
