Microblogging platform Twitter was down for thousands of users on Thursday, according to outage tracking website Downdetector.com.

According to Reuters, over 10,000 users in the United States reported difficulties accessing the social media website as of 7:40 p.m. ET. However, less than an hour later, the number of reported issues had dropped to slightly more than 3,700. Some users also reported that their Twitter notifications were not working, while others received an error and their tweets did not appear in their feed. “Twitter is experiencing international outages affecting the mobile app and features, including notifications; incident is unrelated to country-level internet disruptions or filtering,” Netblocks stated in a tweet.
