Elon Musk announced on Saturday that Twitter’s “open source” algorithm will be revealed next month, following reports that several people were unable to use third-party Twitter apps and were having trouble logging in and accessing feeds.

Twitter will publish tweet recommendation code and make account/tweet status visible no later than next month, according to Musk. “Transparency breeds trust,” tweeted Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey. He also stated that the bookmark button will be moved to the tweet details page next week, and that the company will fix image length crop and other minor bugs. “Bookmarks will also be searchable,” Musk stated. Meanwhile, users of third-party Twitter tools such as Tweetbot were experiencing logging issues.
