Twitter closed two of its three offices in India

Share via:

Elon Musk-led social media giant Twitter reportedly closed two of its three offices in India and asked its employees to work from home.

The move is consistent with the company’s goals of cost reduction and regaining profitability. According to Bloomberg, Twitter has closed its offices in Delhi and Mumbai, but its Bengaluru office, which primarily houses engineers, will remain open. It is worth noting that Inc42 first reported Twitter’s decision to close its offices in India in November 2022 and operate a small control centre there. The latest development comes just a week after the microblogging platform launched its premium subscription service, Twitter Blue, for Indian users. The service is available on iOS and Android devices, as well as on the web.
