Snapchat is the most recent company to join the AI frenzy. The company announced today the launch of “My AI,” a new chatbot powered by the most recent version of OpenAI’s GPT technology that has been customised for its users.

My AI is now available as an experimental feature for Snapchat+, the $3.99 per month subscription service from the social network. The new chatbot will appear at the top of the Chat tab. My AI can assist me in answering trivia questions or writing a haiku. My AI was programmed to have a distinct voice and personality that reflects its core values of “friendship, learning, and fun.” It has also been trained to follow the app’s trust and safety policies.
