Share via:

Hackers are targeting Samsung smartphone users in the UAE, according to Google’s Threat Analysis Group (TAG). TAG monitors actors engaged in information operations (IO), government-sponsored attacks, and financially motivated abuse. TAG has been tracking the activities of commercial spyware vendors for years in order to protect users.

The threat analysis group announced its findings on March 29 and stated that it has been monitoring the spyware attack since December 2022. “TAG discovered a complete exploit chain consisting of multiple 0-days and n-days targeting the latest version of Samsung Internet Browser in December 2022.” “The exploits were delivered in one-time links sent via SMS to devices in the United Arab Emirates (UAE),” according to Google’s report.
