Allcargo Gati, an Express distribution and supply chain solutions company, has announced the appointment of Sandeep Kulkarni as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Kulkarni, with over two decades of leadership experience across various industries, steps into this role to spearhead strategic planning and operational efficiency.

What would be the role Sandeep Kulkarni?
In his new position, Kulkarni will focus on enhancing operational efficiency through the adoption of new-age technology. He is tasked with leading cross-functional operations, managing key supply chain stakeholders, and building stronger customer engagement with innovative logistics solutions.
Additionally, Kulkarni aims to foster a culture of innovation, focusing on technological advancements, process improvements, and sustainable practices.

Reporting and organizational structure
Kulkarni will report directly to Pirojshaw (Phil) Sarkari, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Gati Express and Supply Chain Pvt. Ltd. (GESCPL). Under GESCPL, the company’s express business operations are conducted, positioning Kulkarni at a strategic point in the organizational hierarchy.
Sandeep Kulkarni previous roles
Before joining Allcargo Gati, Sandeep Kulkarni held the position of Chief Supply Chain Officer at Tata Cliq. The company said he has an extensive experience includes significant roles in retail, e-commerce, logistics, and supply chain management.
Notably, Kulkarni’s career also includes leadership positions at L&T, Amazon, and Jio Mart, and he served in the Indian Navy as a Lieutenant Commander, handling operations, planning, and project management. He is an MBA graduate from Nanyang Business School, Singapore.
