Online learning platform Seekho has raised $8 Mn in its Series A funding round led by Lightspeed. Existing investor Elevation Capital also participated in the round, the startup’s founder and CEO Rohit Choudhary said in a LinkedIn post.
This comes months after it was reported that the startup was raising a $8 Mn to $10 Mn funding round at a valuation of $45 Mn. At the time, it was reported that the investors were eyeing to acquire a 20% stake in the startup.
Founded in 2020 by Choudhary, Keertay Agarwal, and Yash Banwani, Seekho aims to help individuals acquire new skills and knowledge. It provides a range of short learning videos across categories like parenting, share market, Instagram, finance, personal development, among others.
It offers monthly and annual subscriptions, starting at INR 149 per month. Without subscription, users can see only a few videos with advertisements.
Seekho’s app is available on iOS and Android. The startup competes with Unacademy, Coursera, edX, and Udemy.
