Residents in Dubai can get free bread from vending machines

The Mohammed bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy (MBRGCEC) has launched the “bread for all” initiative, which provides free bread via vending machines throughout Dubai.

“Sabil Bread is an innovative charitable initiative that supports needy groups and strengthens the UAE’s humanitarian position,” Wam said in a statement. The project is in line with Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s zero-hunger vision for the UAE, stating that “no one will go hungry in the land of the Emirates.” The vending machines, which are located in 10 Aswaaq branches across Dubai, offer “freshly baked” bread with the push of a button. The initiative is aimed specifically at poor families and labourers in the emirate.
