United Kingdom is looking into Apple and Google’s mobile browser dominance

Britain’s competition watchdog launched an investigation into Apple’s (AAPL.O) and Google’s (GOOG) mobile browser dominance on Tuesday (GOOGL.O).

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) said that responses to a consultation launched in June revealed “substantial support” for a fuller investigation into the matter and whether iPhone maker Apple restricts cloud gaming through its app store. “Many UK businesses and web developers tell us they feel constrained by Apple and Google’s restrictions,” Sarah Cardell, interim chief executive of the CMA, said in a statement.
