The New York Times reported that Google CEO Sundar Pichai invited Page and Brin to a meeting about AI, citing two anonymous sources with knowledge of the meetings. In 2019, the company’s founders stepped down from daily roles at Google, though they remain involved in Alphabet’s “Other Bet” projects. According to reports, the founders approved plans to include chatbot features in Google’s search engine and provided advice to current company leadership.
