Ashutosh Gupta, the India country manager and APAC head of online sales for LinkedIn Marketing Solutions, has decided to leave the company at the end of April after an 11-year stint.
Citing the professional networking platform, ET reported that under Gupta’s leadership, the company has achieved some key milestones, including the launch of Hindi language to help members unlock greater value from the platform.
Also, the member base of LinkedIn crossed the 100 Mn mark under his leadership which the company looks at as expansion enabling marketers on the platform to use the full potential of the platform for greater business impact.
“We thank Ashutosh for his decade of dedicated service and wish him all the best for the future. As we continue to grow and scale our business in this strategic market, our APAC and India leadership teams will lean in as we finalize the appointment of a new country manager for India,” the company said in a statement.
In addition to being associated with LinkedIn, Gupta is also presently a member of TiE and Delhi State Council. According to his LinkedIn profile, through the course of his career, he has also served major companies including Google and Cognizant among others.
Currently, LinkedIn claims to have about 120 Mn members in India, and the company aims to use the rise of AI to impact more than half of the jobs in India.
To ease the process of hiring, last year, the company rolled out its free voluntary ID verification through Aadhaar Card and Indian phone numbers. The company said that the feature would be performed by HyperVerge, a third-party identity verification service that leverages DigiLocker – a digital wallet for government IDs including Aadhaar.
