YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki quits and Neal Mohan takes over

`YouTube has a new CEO. Susan Wojcicki announced her resignation as CEO of YouTube on Friday, and Neal Mohan will take over. Mohan will take over as YouTube’s new SVP and CEO. Mohan has been YouTube’s Chief Product Officer since 2015.`

Wojcicki revealed in an email to employees that she will be focusing on family, health, and personal projects that she is passionate about. “Today, after nearly 25 years here, I’ve decided to step down as CEO of YouTube and begin a new chapter focused on my family, health, and personal projects I’m passionate about,” she wrote in an email to YouTube employees. She also thanked Sundar Pichai for his unwavering support. On Pichai’s recommendation, Wojcicki will take on an advisory role across Google and Alphabet in the future.
