Zomato constructing rest stops for delivery partners to allow them to take a break between deliveries

Foodtech major Zomato announced that it is constructing rest stops for delivery partners to allow them to take a break between deliveries.

“Our delivery partners have a difficult job, and we do not yet have the public infrastructure to help them do their jobs better,” Zomato wrote in a blog post about The Shelter Project’s rest stops. The rest stops will be “more than just a place to take a break between deliveries,” according to the food delivery company. The rest stops will also have clean drinking water, phone charging stations, restrooms, high-speed internet, a 24-hour help desk, and first-aid support, according to the company.
