Tech giant Meta, formerly Facebook, is testing a new live-streaming platform for influencers called “Super”, according to media reports.
Influencers can use the new platform to host live streams, earn money, and interact with viewers. It reportedly paid influencers between $200 and $3,000 for 30 minutes of use of the platform. Meta’s New Product Experimentation team is currently working on Super, which began development in late 2020. According to the report, Meta recently contacted a number of creators and asked them to participate in the new project. The platform, which appears to have similar functionality to Twitch, is currently being tested with fewer than 100 creators, including TikTok star Vienna Skye and tech influencer Andru Edwards.
