Africa Tech Show Drives East Africa's Digital Growth

The sixth edition of the Africa Technology Show (AFTS) Kenya 2026 returns to the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi from 22–24 July 2026. Proudly endorsed by Kenya’s Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy, AFTS 2026 serves as one of East Africa's central platforms for technology adoption, cross-border trade, capital allocation, energy infrastructure, and digital entrepreneurship.

Nairobi, often referred to as the "Silicon Savannah," provides the ideal backdrop for connecting global investors, policymakers, technology pioneers, corporate executives, manufacturers, and startups. Co-located with three major trade shows—11th China Trade Week Kenya, 4th Buildexpo Kenya, and 3rd Power & Energy Kenya—the multi-sector event bridges digital transformation with physical infrastructure, power security, and international trade corridors.

Organized by MIE Events FZCO, the three-day summit features keynote sessions, executive panels, B2B matchmaking, startup showcases, and bilateral investment forums focusing on artificial intelligence, fintech, green infrastructure, and digital public policy.

Three-Day Strategic Agenda & Daily Focus Areas

Day 2: Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Investment (23 July 2026)

Powered by the E4Impact Foundation, Day Two shifts focus toward building resilient startup ecosystems and unlocking international growth capital:

Day 3: Sustainable Development, Energy & Future Technologies (24 July 2026)

Powered by ATTIC and Hela Storytellas, the final day explores energy security, smart infrastructure, and fintech infrastructure:

  • Special Economic Zones (SEZs): Navigating investment policies and tax incentives within Kenya's SEZs.

  • Distributed Energy Solutions: Financing and deploying off-grid, clean energy systems across Sub-Saharan Africa to support data centers and heavy industry.

  • Water-Energy-Food Nexus: Addressing water security as a critical economic driver for manufacturing and agriculture.

  • Sustainable Built Environment: Green construction standards, intelligent building automation, and smart urban infrastructure.

  • The Fintech Infrastructure Track (Hela Storytellas Experience): Exploring 21st-century enterprise architectures, API-driven financial rails, and intelligent business management.

The Co-Located Exhibition & Strategic Impact

Running alongside the conference tracks, the AFTS exhibition floor showcases cutting-edge enterprise software, AI solutions, smart grid technologies, green building materials, and consumer electronics. The integrated B2B meeting portal facilitates over 1,000 pre-arranged business meetings, allowing international suppliers to connect directly with regional distributors, project developers, and government procurement officers.

By combining digital technology with energy and construction trade events, AFTS Kenya 2026 strengthens Kenya’s position as a primary gateway for enterprise expansion and foreign direct investment (FDI) across East and Central Africa.
