Hyperlocal startup ChattyBao raised over $5 million in seed led by Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India and Info Edge Ventures where 7Square Ventures and a slew of angel investors also participated.
ChattyBao is a website that connects customers with local businesses or merchants. The startup is currently in stealth mode, and the app will be released in the third week of August of this year. ChattyBao plans to use the funds to develop new products and launch its app in two to three Tier 1 and 2 cities. ChattyBao intends to provide customers with a full shopping experience via WhatsApp.
