A company named Un1feed debuted The OG App, an Instagram client, last week. It claimed an ad- and suggestion-free home feed as well as features like the ability to create unique feeds similar to Twitter lists.
The software received close to 10,000 downloads in a short period of time, but Apple deleted it from the App Store early this week for breaking its guidelines. Separately, Un1feed said that Meta shut down each team member’s personal Facebook and Instagram accounts. Although Meta claimed that the software had broken its guidelines, it was unclear if they had requested that Apple take the app out of the App Store.
