ONDC ecosystem set to go live for users at 16 Bengaluru pin codes today

The government-backed interoperable network Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) will go live for users in 16 Bengaluru pin codes, in what is expected to be the first major test. For this phase of the trial, more than 200 grocery stores and restaurants in the city have agreed to participate.

“Until now, the pilot programme had been limited to a small group of whitelisted users. The launch of beta testing in Bengaluru is a significant step forward for ONDC because it will allow us to make improvements based on user feedback “T Koshy, ONDC’s chief executive officer and managing director, stated “It will take some time for the network to be fully operational. But, to paraphrase a famous Star Trek line, we are going somewhere no one has gone before “He continued. Paytm, MyStore, and Spice Money will be used as buyer-side apps in the Bengaluru trials, allowing users to sign up and place orders through the network.
