The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) declared in an email on Monday that AlUla from Saudi Arabia has formally entered the metaverse.

The action is a part of KSA’s Vision 2030 National Transformation Programme, which aims to foster innovation and technological change. The Hegra’s Tomb of Lihyan, Son of Kuza, a UNESCO World Heritage site, will be displayed to virtual visitors at the metaverse in a “completely immersive 3D model,” according to a statement. Virtual visitors will be able to explore the monument’s distinctive features from any location in the world. Information portals built in Decentraland will point visitors to various facets of AlUla’s heritage and raise awareness of its 200,000 years of human history.
