The most recent developments indicate a schism between the Broadband India Forum (BIF) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI). If the concept of paying network access charges is to be accepted, telcos must also pay OTTs, according to BIF. The recommendation was labelled “ludicrous as can be imagined” by COAI.
